Tab Trade — The Short Version
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection matters. It suggests the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. It is preferable to a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
The instrument list: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, the breadth is broad.
What You Trade On
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from the same login. Many only give you one or the other. Getting both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is what most people know. Full charting, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be on the roadmap. That will round things out when it arrives.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. $0 to start. Suits beginners.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can be under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker has no minimum.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, custom pricing. Not something most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers run 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That is what kind of broker this is.
Pair that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package is strong. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Now, the detail you need to be straight about. TabTrade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup costs real money. Scam brokers do not pay for Equinix connectivity. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.
What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether this deal works comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
TabTrade has a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Usual welcome offer. You put money in, they add bonus funds. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Review the fine print before you deposit.
